Restaurants
Offering Kids Nights
Schooners
(12368 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News)
Kids 12 and under eat FREE on Monday nights with an adult. Up to three
children are free with adult dinner. 6pm -8pm. They also have a gentleman
making balloon animals and shapes.
McDonalds
Every Tuesday, starting at 5pm, McDonalds offers 99 cent family fun meals.
This includes choice of hamburger, cheeseburger or 4 piece nugget, a regular
fry and drink. The best part is you don't have to be under 12 years old
to get one!
Silver Diner
Every Tuesday, the Silver Diner has "kids night". Sign your
child up for kids night and have them wear the wrist band (given to you
when you sign up) and your child will get a free milkshake! They have
supervised craft activities and parents can opt to participate or have
a nice quiet (well semi-quiet) dinner.
Texas Roadhouse
Texas Roadhouse, next to Kiln Creek off Victory Boulevard, has kids night
every Monday. Kids get a free ice cream, and they have a gentleman making
balloon animals and give out playing cards and fun straws.
Community
Programs for Kids
Family
Focus is a local nonprofit that offers playgroups in the Grafton area.
On Thursdays, they offer programs geared toward infants. On Monday, Tuesday
and Wednesday they hold toddler playgroups from 9:30 to 11:30 am. They
also have an alternative to preschool called "Al's Pals" for
3-5 year olds on Fridays. The program is open to anyone. They ask a nominal

The Children's
Hospital for the Kings Daughters offers classes on a variety of parenting
topics all year long. You can visit their schedule at:

Dyna-Mom
Dyna-Mom is an Exercise Program during pregnancy aimed at maintaining
fitness levels which are safe to the mother and baby. The class lasts
approximately 45-50 minutes.

Fit Under

Fun and Fitness for children. Each class offers: activities to enhance
motor development, games to promote socialization, nutrition and health
education activities, and arts & crafts projects.

Toddler
Time
This class is designed to be a fun way to improve your child's body awareness,
flexibility, movement and socialization skills. The class instructor incorporates
the use of stories, music, games and songs to develop good healthy habits.
